Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

“I think it’s kind of cruel that the world keeps spinning,” weeps Kalie Shorr. The aptly-titled “The World Keeps Spinning” is a special moment in time; Shorr drags both a heavy heart and tattered voice behind her. She grapples with unimaginable loss that strikes right at her heart, perhaps destroying it for good and leaving only jagged remains behind. It’s the emotional core of her long, long, long-awaited debut full-length, Open Book, and like its simple, yet poignant, moniker, she peels back the layers of her life in stunning layers and images. She’s unapologetic, and sure, the parallels to Taylor Swift are undeniable, but she makes damn sure to leave her own impression on your heart.

Paul Farran, known professionally as The Camino Side Project, winds through overgrown pathways of folk-rock greenery and smooth hip-hop pebbles. With “N.A.,” his hushed whispers chill upon a stream of acoustic guitar and spectral-leaning harmony work. It’ll soothing you into a restful state, yet you can’t help but be spooked by it all, too. Farran is a hidden treasure right now, but he won’t be for too much longer.

Our new playlist also includes such names as Lauren Alaina, Best Mann, Ganser, NIve, Karolina Rose, Prince Fox, Carly Pearce, Tenille Arts, John Calvin Abney, J. Marco, James Arthur, T. Thomason and many others.

In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to power your weekend ahead. Get to listening!

Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday morning/afternoon. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
