Taste Test: aka george drags you into his web with a new song, ‘i want you’
The dark-pop performer evokes lustful frustrations through a new track.

We’re all suffocating in isolation these days. So, a song like aka george‘s “i want you,” a soul-burning, dangerously carnivorous banger, expresses the deep-hunger we’re all trying to satiate. “I just want you tonight,” he groans into a barely lit cavern. Dark-pop lace traces around his body, eliciting shivers and other gentle quivers along his backbone, and soon, a gnarly beast is unleashed. “Tomorrow means nothing to me,” he confides, pulling you closer as a black widow does its prey. “Sweat on the floor / Wet to the core / Can’t take my eyes off you / I’m on fire / I’m the devil tonight.” His taunting warnings are right there, but we succumb to the (lyrical) poison anyway.
