The indie storyteller stops for a moment to bask in life’s journey.

There’s an immersive, celestial quality to Albert Jones. With his song “On Our Feet Again,” he regales a tale about resilience in life and, for that matter, life’s relentless march. And it doesn’t matter if you’re ready or not, it’ll all keep spinning at a break-neck speed. Atop a smooth, unfussy bedrock, smokey chords tangling as one, he lets his words spill off his tongue with an easy presence. “But I’ve been burned, and you’ve been bruised / Well, it’s funny who you choose / It’s true,” he sings. “Well, I’m picking up my pen.” He feels a fire reignite deep down inside, and a new thrill and excitement for life and love propels him forward. His lover, too, feels it growing, and it can no longer be tamed. Despite hitting rock bottom, they’re well on their way back up the hill to the tippy top.
“On Our Feet Again” is the title cut to Jones’ new EP, out everywhere now.
