It hurts to be human. All of us live lives through black mirrors, and we never know what someone is going through on the other side. Sensitive singer-songwriter Anson Seabra unburdens his soul with his new piano ballad called “Trying My Best.” His confessions are waterfalls crashing against solid rock, jagged edges glistening from fragmented light – but no sound is made or discernible in the mental fog that surrounds him. “I’m holding my breath / I’m holding my breath until I can say / All the words I want to say from my heart,” he sings. His tone is as dandelion seeds floating on a gentle, warm spring air that arrests the senses. “I won’t stop,” he later convinces himself. In his serene musical soundscape, he allows himself to both confront the truth and finally let it go.
