Taste Test: A R I Z O N A perfectly capture the thrill to live with ‘Still Alive’

The dance-pop trio embrace what it means to live and thrive in dazzling clip.

Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones

An A R I Z O N A live show is like walking through a disco ball. Fragmented glass fractures penetrating light beams with glowing neon synths, and frontman Zachary Charles entices you forward into the purple-hued fixture. That’s the sensation of the trio’s new visual “Still Alive,” too, which pulsates from the core and emanates a new-found pleasure in truly living and engaging with the world around you. “All the pain and the pills / And the shame should have killed me,” Charles caterwauls into starbursts of color. Directed by Sara Lacombe, the video itself prances among life’s many emotions, from uncertainty and sorrow before escalating with the promise of thrilling new adventure.

“Still Alive” bookends the band’s new album, Asylum, out everywhere now.
