You don’t mean to let it, but heartbreak erupts like a brick and mortar fortress around what’s left of your heart. You give new romance a chance to glue you back together, but it’s nearly a lost cause as those walls shroud you in fear so terribly consuming. Indie-pop four-piece Bad Love vow to do better, inviting their new lover to be patient in removing those barriers brick-by-brick. With “A Place for Me,” a neon-synth rendezvous, the Manchester group hit up the dance floor as an appropriate escape mechanism. “I know you’re scared of the affection / But I promise you I ain’t him,” frontman Andy Gannon calls through the fog. Quickly, the past’s miseries begin to melt in his voice and tender embrace.
