Lockdown has given us plenty of reasons to feel trapped, but for Caroline Romano, music has been her outlet. “It’s the PDA of the mainstream (mainstream)/social cabaret/not my thing (my thing)/please just let me go/I don’t wanna show/the PDA”. Determined to have her say and not be confined to her small bedroom, the pieces fell in place for her newest song. “PDA of the Mainstream” has all the attitude of a rock star kicking open the door to announce her presence. The single features a kick-ass chorus, a powerful bass track accompanied by a grinding electronic tone that perfectly merges with Romano’s electronically distorted backing vocals.
