The world is crumbling apart, and all we’re doing is licking up the residue. Whether we’re sucking our screens like a “vulture,” as grungy alt-pop duo Cherryade declare with their new song, or hooking our brains directly into all the toxicity spilling over in the news, we’re in dire need of a solution. “Fast Food” takes direct aim at this entire clusterfuck of a year, much like Roy Scheider at the end Jaws. “Living like we don’t care!” they spew off snappy zingers, perfectly capture society’s often unconcerned and brazen attitude about anything, really. We’re literally killing ourselves, but no one seems to care.
