Taste Test: Clifford drops a song to rally behind in ‘Renaissance Fam’
The multi-genre, multi-lingual artist with a call for unity
Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones
It is no secret that the world is deeply broken, but instead of focusing on what has gone wrong, Clifford’s new song “Renaissance Fam” celebrates what can be done right. “The Renaissance Fam wants progress/and we never want less” he declares. Clifford’s style is unique, blending acoustic piano with high-energy guitar riffs, rap-style vocals and a catchy keyboard refrain. Despite the unorthodox combination of rock, classical and pop elements, all of them come together in a triumphant mix to produce a rallying cry of a track. Clifford is multi-national, being both British and American, and speaking three languages. These seemingly disparate influences, in both genre and culture, combine to make a truly unique song.
