Taste Test: Dan Davidson embraces the present with ‘Won’t Forget’
Davidson makes a bid for song of the summer.
Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones
“Today it hit me, I won’t be young forever,” sings Dan Davidson. The singer rolls down the windows and zips onto the highway, letting the wind brush his cheeks and the road call him yonder. “Won’t Forget” is primed for summertime listening; its boisterous and shiny exterior will surely get the head bobbin’ and the fists pumpin’. “Let’s hold on tight,” he sings, joined by Tim Hicks and Max Jackson. Together, the trio invites the listener to live in the present and forget their troubles for three minutes – maybe longer if you put it on repeat. It’s the kind of song that makes you wanna get out of the house and just… live.
