Succumbing to temptation dates back to the dawn of time. Adam & Eve were enticed to take a bite of that forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, and they were then cast out into the cold, harsh world. There are always heavy consequences. With a song called “Heart into Trouble,” guitar-toting crooner Dan Olsen swings across the ballroom floor as he details his own tug of war with the wily serpent. “I don’t know what it might do with you / It wants to speak its own mind / Be it wrong or be it right / And do things I might regret,” his words fall as glass onto hardwood. Yet there’s an unmistakable glow that permeates his skin – akin to “Gravity”-era John Mayer.
“Heart into Trouble” is the final appetizer to Olsen’s new EP.
