“You wouldn’t know real if it slapped you right in the face,” spits Dax. His entire body rattles as he heaves anger, sadness, and exhaustion off his chest. “Gotham” swirls down the drain of humanity’s deterioration, consumed with an icky, oozing bile. “Everybody wants fame / They don’t care what it’s for,” he continues. The rapper’s lyrics are tortured and relentless, fulling hinged to Gotham City and its putrid corruption. The visual, shot by Moses Israel, checks into modern disturbia ⏤ its imagery is jarring, startling, and soul-punding.
