Taste Test: East Harbor drop breezy summer jam called ‘Miss the Old You’
The pop four-piece prep the sense for a hot, hot, hot summer.
Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones
We sometimes just need some feel-good pop music. East Harbor‘s “Miss the Old You” jolts the system awake, a mix of summery LFO and punkish attitude, and its adrenaline injection might be the cure-all to rinse off these somehow still-lingering winter blues. “This is your moment / Hope you enjoy it,” the Vero Beach-baked quartet rallying together. The vocals rise and fall in unison, waves hitting against crunchy granite production, and it’s the kind of addicting, shimmering sonic blast to prep the senses for waterside rendezvouses. That’s all we could ask for: so dip your toes in, grab a drink, and settle in for their sunny rays to wash over you.
