Taste Test: Eli Moon ponders life’s many confusing ‘Phases’

The pop newcomer struggles to find his place in the world and accept life’s many changes.

Nothing lasts forever. What feels like stagnant states or orbits that appear to spiral on and on and on is only transitory. Earth itself bleeds from one season into another, and so, human existence is never just one thing. It’s many. Electro-pop newcomer Eli Moon questions his worth and place in the world. His commanding presence is on full display with “Phases,” a groovy and cosmic eruption positing that we are all truly just tiny specks in a giant, expansive ocean. “What if it never changes? What if it’s not just phases in my mind? We feel these empty spaces / Or do we just keep changing what feels right,” he ponders. Synth-y starships blast off in the production, giving Moon’s voice an even grander, otherworldly appeal.

“Phase” samples Moon’s brand new EP, Angels, Devils & Empty Vessels, out everywhere now.
