Emilio Lanza‘s “Rearview Mirror” smolders, with his voice grooving over the melody with seductive energy. Embedded within such a smooth-talking production, the lyrics weigh him down. He finds himself wrangling his demons, his past, and his troubles, and casting them in the rearview mirror. “Still crying here for you,” he admits. But soon enough, he revs up his engines and darts off onto the horizon, where a new sun (and new beginnings) await. “Rearview Mirror” is nothing if not infectious, as it wriggles right into the eardrums.
