Freshly Squeezed, Vol 127: Aubrie Sellers, James Steinle, VINCINT & more
Enjoy new songs from Tenille Townes, Dagny, Lola Coca, Whoa Dakota, Trixie Mattel, and more!
Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.
Aubrie Sellers is electric. With her second album, Far from Home, out today, she continues to stretch her wings and soar. Essential cut “Under the Sun” glistens with warmth, a sly smile curling her lips. “I don’t want to jump the gun / But I think I’d take you over anything under the sun,” she sings. It’s a love song, no doubt, but it’s neither kitschy or overwrought. It feels just right.
Texas musician James Steinle also impresses with his just-dropped new album, What I Came Here For. Heart-torn and world-weary, “In the Garden” is an aching anecdote – his voice drowning in every sting of it. “As the earth then embraced me / Down deep inside / And here I will hide,” he strains, shaking down to his bones. “And there I must lie.”
The new playlist is poppin’ with cuts from VINCINT, Whoa Dakota, Dagny, Camryn, Christian Lopez, Trixie Mattel, Amanda Shires, Lola Coca, Christine & the Queens, The Lone Bellow, and Tenille Townes, among many others!
In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to get you pumping for the freakin’ weekend. Get to listening!
Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday morning/afternoon. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
