You can get lost in its aura and not be in fear of losing yourself. Well, you will, lose yourself that is, but it’ll be between cosmic synth rays. He points. He shoots. And you absorb the power.
J Blue left an indelible mark with the queer anthem “Pride” earlier this summer. She returns with a force on the moving piano ballad “Lighthouse,” highlighting a God-sent range. She takes the melody in her hands, turning it over delicately, and the words pour out smoothly and with towering conviction. “When the night gets heavy, let me in,” she pleads. Her voice is warm, and her invitation could not have come at a better time. We all need songs, and voices, exactly like hers.
