Freshly Squeezed, Vol. 37: Calum Scott, Birds of Chicago, Chloe Black & more
Spin new Betty Who, Megan Vice, Lokki, Violet Days, PBSR and more!
Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.
Betty Who is single-handedly the most underrated pop singer today. Now free from the shackles of her record label, she works on her own timetable, and she’s back with a funk-pop soon-to-smash track titled “Look Back,” a provocative and slinky and empowering bop just waiting to hit the club’s glitter-soaked floor. Coming off January’s “Ignore Me,” it is evident she’s not wasting any of her precious time. So, yes, there was no other option than to lead our just-pressed, orange-splashed new music weekly playlist with fierceness, straight-up and aptly-baked.
Then, the lineup comes like a wave ⎯⎯ new Chloe Black, Lilly Allen, Calum Scott, FRANKIIE, Violet Days, Megan Vice, Melanie Grant, Borgeous and Birds of Chicago flood the eardrums. That’s the beginning of what we promise to be one of our best playlists since we launched nearly nine months ago. We’ve also got Brent Cobb, Fletcher, Ashley Monroe, Years & Years, The Aces, KYLE, Blackberry Smoke, PBSR, Lokki, Ladychild, Jake Miller, Doja Cat and Owl City, among a smorgasbord of other pop, rock and Americana treasures.
In all, we’ve got 55 gems shining gloriously in the sun this brisk March day.
Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday morning. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
