There are few things as reassuring in the world as a timely friend with a drink. Gavin Lee definitely thinks so as he explains the inspiration for his new song “Friend With a Beer”. “I can’t remember the amount of times I was down and out, wishing I had a friend with a beer that would listen without cutting me off – even if at the end of the conversation all he said was I get it,” Lee explains. The friendly country drawl is accompanied by an upbeat lively beat and flawless guitar instrumentals that complement Lee’s voice perfectly. “Don’t get me wrong I love my dog and I love my old John Deere/But a man’s best friend is a friend with a beer.” In Lee’s own words: “I hope my music brings that comforting feeling to other people who may also need a friend.”
