We’re all struggling right now, grasping onto anything we can find for a sliver of solace. Folk singer-songwriter Glenn Thomas feels the pressure, too, and in the early days of lockdown, he put pen to paper to write a song that squeezes every bit of emotion in the most soul-affecting way. “Hail Mary’s” spins with only an acoustic guuitar, and Thomas’ voice pulsates like a lighthouse along the shoreline, waves battering against rock-laced edges. “You got to hold on tighter,” he sings. Strings swirl around him, accentuating both its heaviness and relief coming on the horizon.
