Taste Test: Jake Pinto pleads for ‘Just Another Minute’
The indie artist zooms along a psychedelic folk-rock highway.

We’ve gotta have transportive music these days. With the world literally burning, Jake Pinto‘s “Just Another Minute” feels not only crucial to our collective health but transformative. Pinto slithers across ’70s folk psychedelia like a slimy reptile, and his voice catapults the listener right into the expansive, all-consuming cosmos. “I need a minute,” he begs and pleads. The song swells and rocks, like a dashboard bobble head, as the metaphorical corvette zooms down a barren highway in nowhere U.S.A. He invites us all to take all the time we need: a minute, a day, a week if we need. Life is too short to suffocate on the worries of life.
“Just Another Minute” samples Pinto’s brand new EP, of the same name, out everywhere now.
