There have been countless pop songs about meeting that special person in your life, but Jamie Lee Harrison combines this special moment with an uplifting beat and a catchy rhythm that lifts the spirits. The Newcastle-born singer layers emotional lyrics with synthy percussion tracks and extremely danceable bass riffs to make a delightful musical cocktail. Despite the uplifting nature of the song, Harrison doesn’t sugar coat the reality: “it’s clear to see that we’re broken/pain cut the both of us open/maybe we could help each other through”. But ultimately, the song is a feel-good riff designed to raise spirits and kick off a good time. “I feel better with you/I can escape from my darkness”. Beautifully produced, infectious and positive, I can definitely see this summer song being the staple of parties and celebrations for the discerning music fan.
