Taste Test: Joe Ramsey begs for one more chance on new song, ‘You Don’t Have to Leave’
The indie-folk storyteller falls to his knees for redemption.

Heartbreaks are never easy to swallow. Upon feeling the terribly merciless sting that rips right to your core, you may even get a little desperate in your pleas. Indie-folk heart-throbber Joe Ramsey rends the brokenness from his chest for a caterwauling declaration. With “You Don’t Have to Leave,” he allows the emotion to carry his reedy timber through the wringer – his valiant efforts to stop the clock are all in vain. He can only sink further into the darkness that has all but consumed him whole. “You just have to stay awhile / Honey, I’ll forgive you…” he lays his cards on the table. In such a bold move, however, he may lose himself yet.
