The Americana folk group go back to their roots

Some songs make you feel like you’re sitting around a campfire as the singer tells stories. Jonny and Clyde do this spectacularly with their new release “Redbird”. The song greets you with a warm guitar, simple drumbeat and mellow vocals that gives the music a comforting atmosphere. Jonny and Clyde is the result of a father/son duo, with Chad and Glen Huey collaborating with Ethan Vaughn, Brad Dickerson and Calvin Lauber. The song is also family focused, as it reflects on their ancestry. Set “Dated back to the years when fairy tales were real”, it describes the journey their ancestors made to get to where Jonny and Clyde are today. In a style reminiscent of the Lumineers, “Redbird” is a heartwarming and uplifting song that makes you feel connected in an isolated world.
