Taste Test: Liimo wrestle with loneliness in the city on new song, ‘Thinking About It’
The electro-pop band long to feel alive again in the bright city life.
Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones
You’d think a towering, shiny cityscape would be inviting and thrilling adventures would be endless. While that might be true, at least in theory, it can be just as aggravating, depleting, and lonely. Electro-pop three-piece Liimo tug their hearts through the wringer in an attempt to navigating their own swollen headspace and ache to feel alive. With “Thinking About It,” they long to be reenergized once again and contemplate packing it all up “to find a little slice of paradise someplace new,” as they put it. “The midnight sun is the only light pulling us through,” they lament. There’s a grave truth to the otherwise neon luminescence of synths slapping in hearty waves – swirls that evolve into their own sort of blissful reverie.
