looseleaf have a way of immersing you totally in their soundscapes, always glitchy and glittery. “Run” is no different; in fact, it grinds even harder with electronic sparks emanating from its jagged edges, while the pop duo tangle and then disentangle in viney patterns. “I believed in your lies, 1-2-3,” they bemoan in loaded starbursts, skittering over the sky. Wesley Edwards and Anthony Marone emerge from a cocoon of their own weaving, a strangely unique entity that more than stands out from the pack.
