As the song goes, it’s a man’s, man’s, man’s world. But tides are finally turning. From the top down, men and their fellow egomaniacs are being held accountable, and women are rising to the occasion to take full control. Poised to break through the public consciousness, Sweden’s rising pop torchbearer LOVA extends a power punch with her torching new single. “I Can Do Better” samples the iconic line “anything you can do, I can do better” from the 1946 Broadway classic Annie Get Your Gun for the pivotal hook, luring you into a revolution of warrior women standing firm in their beliefs and proving their worth. “You’re the problem, not my gender,” LOVA spits in the face of the patriarchy, truly flourishing in fearless energy and casting archaic traditions under her heels. She then quickly turns her gaze to the horizon, and a new world rushes out from her, leaving the past where it should be: in her rearview.
