We are all like stars in orbit, traipsing across a cosmic, elusive backdrop of existence. We cascade into and out of each other’s lives, unexpected trajectories that can cause unbridled joy or catastrophe. Electro-pop upstart LUMiN firmly roots his new song in the latter category. “The Worst Thing” shatters the eardrums with a wall-to-wall of sound, mining dive-bar clubs and sloshy, potent elixirs on a rooftop in east LA. “Now you’re my worst enemy,” the performer huffs into a prismatic haze. An old friend collided back into his life, and only ruin ensued – and the pieces may never go fit back together again.
