Taste Test: ‘Kurione’ – a magical adventure in a musical format
Alternative pop song artists whip up a relaxing but mystical dish
Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones
Some songs are designed to be relaxing. Dripping with alternative style, relaxing and smooth synthy chords and an otherworldly chimes, Adam Fuller has succeeded in creating an ethereal auditory world. The jewel in the crown of this this pop-synth blend is Marqueza’s angelic vocals. They find the perfect balance – strong enough to cut through the instrumentals, but delicate enough to match the ethereal tone. Marqueza’s “Omizu Diosa is an EP focusing on the ocean, with the first song “Kurione” being the surface level of the sea. Interwoven in this aquatic theme, Marqueza also explores vulnerability and love as they sing “You’re dangerously close to me/Carry my heart gently/I’m not the only one”. I can’t wait to see what worlds Marqueza and Adam Fuller create next!
