Life is best lived on the edge. That’s the case Americana duo Megan and Shane make with their song “Oh Oh Oh,” an essential from their new album, Peaks and Valleys. With the jangly uptempo, the duo detail the relentless tick of the clock and how time seems to be running out. “I live my life / I live it hard, I live it fast / Made my parents want to say, ‘Oh oh oh, slow down, your candle’s burning at both ends,'” they sing, their voices nestled together in a delicate patchwork. The pair seize the day, allowing each moment to count. The song, originally penned by Shane 15 years ago, finds new vitality with playing by Tim Galloway and Lillie Mae. Top to bottom, it’s an excellent piece of music.
