Love can slip through your fingertips if you’re not too careful. Indie-pop band Mt. Misery squander, or perhaps witness the stars skewing beyond their grasp, what could have been the romance of the ages. “It breaks my heart to see you loving someone else,” frontman Andrew Smith weeps over rumbling guitar. In the accompanying visual, the trio head out to a barren field, instruments and all, to fully embody the lonesome, heart-torn feeling aching in their chests. Amidst a pandemic, it seems to unpack collective melancholy in an unexpected way ⏤ the lyrics clearly puncturing much harder and deeper.

“I Was Wrong” anchors a debut 7″ vinyl, issued on Prefect Records.
