“No one knows what the future holds.” It’s a simple statement but a powerful human-connecting one – a summation of existence, where we all hang like orbs in the night sky. Folk poets Paper Towns (Jaimi Faulkner and Jan Schroeder) later propose to the listener, “Could I steal you away?” It’s both romantic and urgent, as they look to escape the world’s troubles for a moment of solace. The musicians rediscover not only who they are, as human beings wading through a mucky ecosystem, but what it means to be alive. “Steal You Away” wraps the senses with soothing warmth, and even if you don’t have a chance to steal away, you can at least get lost in three minutes of bliss.
