Premiere: Ryan David Green unleashes torrential ‘Reina de la Noche’ performance video
Green’s new composition is soothing and powerwful.
Guitar trickles like rain. Set against a woodland backdrop, Ryan David Green performs “Reina de la Noche” as a soothing, ethereal moment. He commands in the stillness, allowing the guitar to sing sweetly in the trees and echo into the stratosphere. An accomplished musician, having studied at Berklee College of Music, Green navigates melodies with adeptness. He evokes feelings of longing and unbridled joy through heart-nestled guitarwork that rivals the greats.
“Reina de la Noche” samples a forthcoming album titled Off and Running, marking a turning point in his life and career. When his musical co-conspirator fell ill before a music festival performance, Green decided to go it alone and ultimately earned a standing ovation. It was a sign that it was time to step out as a solo guitarist. “That’s when I had this great feeling,” he says in a press statement, “that there were others out there like me, who were moved by this kind of music too.”
Ryan David Green ensnares you into a web of sterling musical compositions, relaying stories with intricate guitar lines. The performance video, filmed by Evan Grae Davis, imprints upon the mind, body, and soul. As found with “Reina de la Noche,” his work is exhilarating and replenishing down to the bone.
Off and Running, out everywhere on June 14, will surely follow suit.
