Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones

Chaos is the norm these days. We may never escape it, but art can be a conduit to peace, however brief. Folky singer-songwriter Sarah Gross steals away from the turmoil and flood of headlines for a reprieve, a gentle getaway that soothes right down to the bone. With “For Now,” she wraps her sweet, buttercup vocal around your heart and pulls you in so you can experience the moment, too. “It’s the changing of the moon / It’s the way I know one day when I’m old / I might not have you,” she casts her worries into the proverbial campfire. Only sparks emit in their place, so for now, she’ll pull her loved ones closer and find meaning in the silence.
