Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones

Almost without exception, everyone seems to be burning out and melting down. Especially considering the pandemic, there’s no shortage of things to be “Sick” of. Sea Girls don’t hold back on tempering their frustration, as they list the things that they’re tired of. “I’m sick of myself/I’m sick of The Beatles/I’m sick that I never asked/How do you really feel?” Henry Camamile is relentless as the lead singer, with every syllable as sharp as a blade and wielded with blunt force. The drumbeat and synth effects are infectious in how satisfying they are. No two verses are the same, despite the repetition of the song lyrics that drives home the growing pressure that is felt with each passing day. This song captures the sentiment of the times extremely well, and doesn’t hold back.
