SVRCINA‘s angelic warble melts into heaving sonic walls, groaning and burping of their own will. “Flowers” connects dots between bubbly electronica and darker, more grinding alternative music, and her voice traces through each mood with a flourish. The visual, directed by Bree Marie Fish, is reality-wrecking starburst, playfully nudging the edges of art-pop into an adventurous new arena. “I feel like I’m dreaming / Taking me to Eden,” she confides as she grows fainter into the swirling color-sphere. She invites you along, and you can’t say no.
