Small towns possess a charm you can’t get anywhere else. From the tight-knit community, in which everyone knows everyone else’s name (and all their business), to nature’s stunning framework, middle America remains as a living artifact. Alberta-based country band The Prairie States – of frontman Mat Cardinal, Jeff Dick, Mike Nash, Doc deGroot, and Jay Der – champion the small-town way of life with their rock-soaked new song. “Every Little Town” is a ripe vocal showcase for Cardinal, whose voice rides the middle ground before erupting into a anthemic growl. Their story decorates with every dreamer and schemer you could imagine, from the kid pumping gas at the local corner store to the newly-crowned prom queen, and each character becomes a hero of their own story. The Prairie States are simply the rabble-rousing storytellers – the visual, too, glows with down-home spirit, depicting various cherished hot-spots around town. It burns with determination, and you’d be hard pressed not to sing along.
