A breakup can sear far more than just misery onto your heart. Often, you’re emotional memory will recall the day, time, and even what the weather was like when it happened. Indie folk staple Windy Isle retraces such an occurrence with his new song “Where You & I Died,” a collaboration with tintti. “How did it go down? A picture but no sound,” they wail in unison. Guitars burn rubber, so to speak, and the lyrics kick up gutting truckloads of gravel, high-tailing it around pointed mountains and seemingly endless highway. It’s the kind of heart-sore moment in time that’ll grip you and never let go.
“Where You & I Died” is lifted from a joint album called Snow Dies Young.
