Taste Test: Aaron Taos soars even ‘Higher’
The pop singer-songwriter reminds himself of the payoff coming for him with a new song.
Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones
We’ve all got our own grinds through which to pedal. Whether it’s a 9-to-5 desk job or bussing tables, we do what we have to do. The trick is to keep our head down and plow right through. Pop’s new elite Aaron Taos chugs along such a staunch belief with his new electrifying song. With “Higher,” a signature R&B-configured jam session, the Brooklyn guitar-slinger keeps his eye on the prize and powers through his many day jobs. The music courses in his veins, and that’s not more evident than right now in this moment. He oozes charm, and with such a vulnerably-written ode, he brilliantly glistens in the limelight. “When I’m feeling down real low, I get higher,” he coerces himself into spotting the silver lining. His time is assuredly coming.
“Higher” follows on the heels of “Bloom” from earlier this summer.
