A romantic relationship is no grounds for game playing. Electronic pop man Aiden Myers calls his lover’s bluff on a synth-wound escape called “Alone Tonight,” paired with a visual doused in minty aquas and purples. “And I don’t know how you get away with it / And I won’t say it’s not this sure / What’s done, you’re straddling, baby / It’s paper thin / I guess I’ll never learn,” he bears the weight of the unraveling. Produced by Red Tip Productions, Myers agonizes over the heartache in his apartment before hitting the streets for some cathartic modern dancing. The visual tethers the pain, yet the bubbling melody and synth work seek to liberate him. Time is probably the only real solvent here.
