Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones

Social media makes it too easier to get lost in the noise. The world ebbing and flowing around you becomes a mere mirage to what you think you see through black screens. If you take a good look, you have everything you could possibly need at your fingertips. Lo-fi bedroom pop craftsman Darshaan takes a moment to breathe and bask in the twinkling starlight, the breeze that gently whirls around his skin, and the earth’s soft slumber underneath his feet. “Palm of My Hand” is a fizzy elixir, one blending genres that wondrously it’ll send its bubbles right to the head, yet his lyrics cut into bone. “Got the whole damn world in the palm of my hand,” he sings. His confidence bobs just on the surface, a shallow undercurrent carrying him ever downstream, and as the waves break on rock, he learns to really live.
