The indie-pop five-piece confront barriers with a knockout performance.

It’s not “survival of the fittest” as much as it is surviving against yourself. You push through mundane life and all the emotional baggage to rediscover the thing(s) that make(s) you brilliant and passionate. Vancouver’s totally flammable indie-pop band Fake Shark knock out dynamite stadium-crusher in the form of “Invincible,” which soaks in punky rock glory to raise the stakes even more. The five-piece sharpen their teeth for the danger up ahead, suiting up with screeching guitars and a sturdy piano base, and they won’t be easily defeated. Howling into moonlit skies, they crow, “We keep coming back!” The vocals braid together as one monstrous weapon – and when they get the chance, they’ll go right for the jugular.
