Folk singer-songwriter Gillian Nicola enlists a bevy of today’s finest musicians for a new music video. With “She Stays Silent,” found on Nicola’s 2019 record, Dried Flowers, Nicola gives each player a time to shine, as they come into frame to display their pain and agony alongside the brutally incisive lyrics. The cast includes Saffron A, Candace Shaw, Aisha Barrow (of LifeandtheTRIBE), Alysha Haugen (of By Divine Right), and many others. In a word: powerful.
