The Singles Bar: Jxckson seduces with body-shocking ‘Time Waits for No One’
The indie-pop artist mixes genres to shock the system.
Welcome to The Singles Bar, a review series focused on new single and song releases.
“Time Waits for No One” rumbles from deep within Jxckson‘s body. It’s sticky, sweaty, and seductive. As Jxckson whispers through the words, dissecting his relationship with time itself, the song seems to slither and writhe with booms and clangs. The industrial-sized, darkly-spun track has enough power to haunt your every waking moment. It’s deliciously eerie, as though Jxckson is stepping outside of himself and letting his form hang from his teeth. “The world, it’s ending, and I’m just going to have a good time, time, time, time…” he sings, moments before a clock’s harrowing tick sticks to the brain. Featuring Jxckson’s most intuitive, ghostly vocal, “Time Waits for No One” is a low-key banger that’ll get the body grinding in the darkness.
