Welcome to The Singles Bar, a review series focused on new single and song releases.

Rhythmic swirls entice and tug on the limbs. Sev7en Taylor‘s voice bends from rap to R&B seductively, a deep-throated purr emanating from the edges. “I’m gonna supply you,” he teases on a new song. “Alien Sounds,” a backbone essential from his new record, the towering 27-track The Qliphoth, strikes like magic dust scattered around the cosmos, and appropriately so. Production dances on the eardrums like blips and bloops from some alien ship. “Are you coming down?” ponders Sev7en. His voice ebbs and flows between thorny vocals and gasping whispers. One of the best on the indie circuit, it’s the sort of performance that should catapult him into the sun.
