Taste Test: Lara Snow sets sail on a very ‘Wild Sea’
The indie pop singer-songwriter cuts shackles of the past in her pink-tinted new video.

Heartbreak can be great, as grueling as the conclusion might be initially. Winding through a very toxic relationship, its frayed ends nearly strangling what is left, indie pop singer-songwriter Lara Snow gives every last drop of strength she can muster up with her song “Wild Sea.” The synths crash exactly like foam-laced waves, mimicking the tumultuous, untamable forces hitting against her heart. “I gave you everything,” she howls. And she strips it all away before casting it into shadowy depths. As she emerges from the flood, she enjoys a liberation for which she has so desperately longed. Scented with a soft pink hue, the visual, directed by Jonatan Harpak, unpacks the cathartic escape, weaving through the rawness before she soars far and away. It’s appropriately cinematic.
“Wild Sea” is lifted from her debut EP, Delete Forever, out now everywhere.
