The synth mastermind explores love and lust on the dance floor in his new video.

Femme Fatale is a figure of great dominance, most known in literature, TV and film as quite an enchantress. Her powers are unexplainable, and they’re as bedeviling as they are irresistible. Synth-pop master Mind Enterprises (real name Andrea Tirone) toys with such fantastical characterizations for a reframing of monogamy and chides wayward individuals for their inability to put a ring on it. With “Monogamy,” paired with a gleefully retro visual that seems to borrow a Magnum, P.I.-stamped approach, Tirone scampers out onto the glittering dance floor and his disdain melts away into an array of confetti, swirling synths and the funkiest groove that’ll ever seduce your ears. “I, monogamy / You, philosophy / They electrify / So, goodbye, goodbye,” he keeps his lyrics curt, and you, too, shall soon shed your scaly skin and get chained to the rhythm.
