Intuition is that gut feeling that’ll roar and howl until you pay attention to it. It’s never easy to trust something so intangible, but trusting such instincts is a threshold we all must cross eventually. Pop starlet Sara Diamond manages to sprout wings and soar much higher than she otherwise would have ⏤ metaphorically, of course. “Nov. 16th” is silky smooth in its production, wrapping you up as if the bitter cold could destroy. Diamond’s voice, too, flows across the melody with a supple easy, as if she’s already cast off past habits and is now fully empowered and self-possessed. “I will keep you safe when everything gets cold,” she promises. Her timbre shakes in the breeze, and you take her invitation without question.
