A relationship is like caring for a plant. You have to water it and give it plenty of sunlight. As importantly, it takes time and patience to get it down. The Millennial Club situates their new love song “complicated/overrated” among the foliage of a relationship’s early days, as they struggling to “get it right” and enjoy the rush and bliss of it all. “Baby, I just need a minute / To get my thoughts all aligned,” Andres Owens sings. Silky guitar rustles the melody, allowing it to be sultry in just the right amount, and his voice ebbs and flows in a siren sort of way.
