Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones

“Now, I’m gonna finally be someone,” sings Bobcat Rob. Fronting his trusty wingmen The Nighty Howl, Bobcat Rob dishes up a tasty bit of mostly satire and impresses upon the listener the vital importance of living carefree. Life is too precious to live stressed out and over anxious. Guitar lines pepper around him like adding rainbow sprinkles to your favorite chocolate cake. It might be sweet enough already, but you only live once. You should take the cake, and you should eat the cake. “I don’t wanna take out the trash / I just want to play video games,” Bobcat spits into the lo-fi mist. Of course, he doesn’t wanna literally do or not do those things. Bobcat Rob’s breeziness in both style and lyric is addicting.
